Despite loss, Celeste Cortesi receives massive support from fellow beauty queens and celebrities


Nabigo si Celeste Cortesi na umabante sa Top 16 semi-finalists ng Miss Universe 2022 na siyang nagtapos sa 12-year record streak ng Pilipinas sa pagpasok nito sa semi-finals round ng naturang pageant. Gayunpaman, bumaha pa rin ng suporta para sa kanya sa social media mula sa mga kapwa beauty queens, celebrities, and netizens.

Nabigo si Celeste Cortesi na umabante sa Top 16 semi-finalists ng Miss Universe 2022 na siyang nagtapos sa 12-year record streak ng Pilipinas sa pagpasok nito sa semi-finals round ng naturang pageant. Gayunpaman, bumaha pa rin ng suporta para sa kanya sa social media mula sa mga kapwa beauty queens, celebrities, and netizens.

Kahit na umuwing luhaan si Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi mula sa pakikipag-compete nito sa 71st Miss Universe in New Orleans, Louisiana noong nakaraang January 14 nakatanggap naman ito ng maraming suporta via social media mula sa kanyang mga kaibigan, celebrities, fellow beauty queens, at maging sa mga netizens.

Nabigo si Cortesi na umabante sa Top 16 semi-finalists ng Miss Universe 2022 na siyang nagtapos sa 12-year record streak ng Pilipinas sa pagpasok nito sa semi-finals round ng naturang pageant.

Unang nag-console sa mga Filipino pageant fans ay si Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray na backstage commentator ng pageant. Sinabi ni Queen Cat on air: “Guys, you are not alone. The Philippines, Thailand, Mexico, Indonesia – I know you might be really feeling a little disappointment right now, but we can always have next year.”

Nag-post naman via Twitter si Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach para sabihin na proud siya kay Celeste: “We know you gave it your all, Celeste. We are very proud of you.”

Nagmensahe rin via IG Story si Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez, na umabot sa Top 5 ng 70th Miss Universe: “We are so proud of you. You worked so hard and represented us well. We love you queen.” 

Kinabiliban naman ni Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2022 Pauline Amelinckx ang naging commitment ni Celeste sa pageant: “We have seen you work, hustle, fight and grow as you prepared to raise our flag. As I’ve told you before, you have my admiration for all your dedication in always becoming better. Always proud of you.”

Hindi rin nagpahuli si Miss Universe Philippines Tourism 2022 Michelle Dee sa pag-mensahe kay Celeste via IG: “You gave it your all and that’s all that matters. We’re so proud of you @celeste_cortesi! Thank you for raising our flag. Qué será será.”

Ang Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) organization ay pinahayag din na proud sila sa naging performance ni Celeste: “You inspired us with your beauty, grace, and perseverance. Thank you for giving an amazing performance for the country, @celeste_cortesi!”

Heto naman ang ilang reactions sa Twitter ng celebrities na pawang hindi makapaniwalang  nalaglag sa semi-final round si Cortesi despite sa magandang ipinakita nito sa mga semi-final activities.

Love at the End of the World star Nico Locco signs up with the Viva Artists Agency

His most recent work, the BL movie Love at the End of the World, was screened on Vivamax Plus. Nico Locco, Nicholas Timothy Fowler offcam, is an Italian-Canadian international model, actor, and host, currently living in the Philippines. He is known for the 2019 movie Sabado where he became the first foreigner to win a Best Actor in the Gawad Sining Awards and the first foreigner to win the award in a Philippine-based film competition.
