On Christmas Day, the 76-year old Oscar and Grammy-winning singer-actress tweeted a photo of a dazzling pear-cut diamond set between a glittering band encrusted with sparkling diamonds. The jewel, displayed in a plush black jewellery box, left the songstress entirely speechless as she captioned it: “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER,A.E.” Neither Cher nor Alexander Edwards has confirmed if he popped the question. Yet Cher later insisted she posted the pic because “his nails are so cool.”

This was the hot gossip on social media over the holidays. On Christmas Day, the 76-year old Oscar and Grammy-winning singer-actress tweeted a photo of a dazzling pear-cut diamond set between a glittering band encrusted with sparkling diamonds.
The jewel, displayed in a plush black jewellery box, left the songstress entirely speechless as she captioned it: “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER,A.E.”
Fans quickly flooded the thread of her post with messages of congratulations, though several were left confused by her cryptic tweet. “Did he propose?” asked a fan, while another said: “Did he put a ring on it?”
Neither Cher nor Edwards has confirmed if he popped the question. Yet Cher later insisted she posted the pic because “his nails are so cool.”

The “If I Could Turn Back Time” singer only confirmed her romance with music executive Alexander Edwards in November this year, tweeting a picture of him followed by a red heart emoji. If the pair are engaged, the marriage will be Cher’s third.
Cher’s first husband, Sonny Bono, with whom she shares a 53-year-old son, Chaz, who died in 1998. The pair separated in 1974.
Shortly after her divorce, Cher married her second husband Gregg Allman. Greg was married to Cher between 1975 and 1979 and the pair had one child together, Elijah Blue Allman. Gregg sadly passed away at his home in Savannah, Georgia, after being diagnosed with hepatitis C in 1999 and undergoing a liver transplant in 2010.
Cher’s rumored joyous engagement announcement comes shortly after she experienced a heartbreaking family tragedy earlier this year. Her 96-year old mother Georgia Holt passed away last December 10 in Malibu, California.
Cher wrote on Twitter on December 26: “Woke up Min ago,& 1st thing …B4 I Opened my eyes,I Thought…I Need 2 Run To Moms & Show Her my ring… ‘she Loves Diamonds.’Before I realized it..I Had Little Tear,But Im sure this is natural. Bet Moms ears were burning Last Nite.We were telling Stories about her,WHAT A WOMAN. Ok ..a few tears.”
Cher and her music producer boyfriend first sparked dating rumors in November when they were spotted out to dinner at hot spot Craig’s in West Hollywood with Tyga.
Cher was in an all-black ensemble with a cutout top, pants, and a coat. Meanwhile, Alexander wore a black button-down shirt with matching black pants and a black jacket.
Alexander previously dated Amber Rose, and they have a 3-year-old son named Slash. Rose had accused him of cheating, and he later admitted to it during an Instagram Live.
Back in 2018, Extra interviewed Cher in London, who explained why she’s usually private about her relationships. But because of social media, the mystery of each celebrity is gone.
Cher said: “Unfortunately, with today’s press and digging and all that it really ruins relationships, especially mine. It isn’t easy being Mr. Cher.”
