Bagamat benign nodules lamang ang nakita sa dibdib ng aktres na si Chynna Ortaleza, ayaw daw n’yang magpakampante sa bagay na ito. “BUT due to the blessing of having women in my family fight breast cancer, I am taking a proactive approach,” she continued. “Being told that these are most likely benign should not stop you from learning about what might happen or develop in the months or years to come.”
“When your baby boy’s painful elbow drop to your right boob turns out to be a blessing!” panimulang lahad ni Chynna.
“We must learn to listen intently to the signs that the world and our bodies send us. Nothing happens without a purpose.”
At dahil hindi umano nawala ang discomfort na nararamdam n’ya sa dibdib kaya ipinasuri na n’ya ito sa doktor. At dito na umano n’ya nalaman na meron s’yang bukol o breast nodules.
“After a week of breathtaking contractions to my right breast, I have decided to ask my OB Doc Sally to allow me to do a breast ultrasound. The pain is due to trauma but guess what.. we found breast nodules,” pagsisiwalat n’ya.
“Again nodules aren’t painful. That’s the reason why they can suddenly grow without us noticing. I was advised to observe & do a repeat in 6 months. Apparently some nodules come & go, women get it.. It’s fine. There is no cancer.”
Ganu’n pa man, ayaw daw n’yang magpakampante sa bagay na ito.
“BUT due to the blessing of having women in my family fight breast cancer, I am taking a proactive approach,” she continued.
“Being told that these are most likely benign should not stop you from learning about what might happen or develop in the months or years to come.”
Pagbabahagi pa ni Chynna sa kanyang IG post, “Another BRCA Warrior @briesmum has shared her journey in depth & she was gracious enough to tell me that being proactive is a good thing. So I will also be going to her doctor @asianbreastcenter to educate myself & know what to do & expect.
“If there was something that I learned with my fight to regain a healthy gut, It’s to listen to your body well. It communicates continuously & going for check ups is a well deserved exercise of self-love & care. Even if things are on an upswing, I still make sure that I update my team @lifesciencephil always.
“Committing to reversing any damage is doable especially if it is due to your poor nutritional or lifestyle choices. Stay Proactive! Learn & Share,” saad pa n’ya.
Sa panibagong IG post n’ya kahapon, August 8, nagpa-check daw sila ng kanyang ina at may magandang resulta silang nakuha.
“Good news! Both Mama and I are in the clear,” pagbabalita ni Chynna.
Kaya naman advice n’ya sa publiko, lalo na sa merong history ng cancer ang pamilya, “Remember to prioritize yourself & don’t wait until you are already feeling ill before you evaluate your body. Prevention & Early Detection is key.
“P.S. The Mammogram did not hurt at all contrary to what I’ve heard. The machine is top notch! More of a firm steady hug than a painful tear jerking squeeze,” pagtatapos n’ya.
