Viva’s comedy classic, Batangeñong, Kabitenyo to premiere on I HEART Movies Channel


In Batangeñong, Kabitenyo, Leo Martinez played Magno, a Batangueño who has an inexplicable charisma to women. He and his wife (played by Anjanette Abayari) want to have children but are unable to conceive. And for as long as Magno continues to fool around, they probably never will. The movie became controversial back in 1995 after the MTRCB gave it an X rating.

As part of the GMA Network and Viva Entertainment collab, Viva shares its archive of old film classics to GMA’s other free-to-air channels, GTV and I HEART Movies.

Come June 26 and 27, one of Viva Films’ comedy classics, Batangeñong, Kabitenyo will be available for viewing on the I HEART Movies channel.

In Batangeñong, Kabitenyo, Leo Martinez played Magno, a Batangueño who has an inexplicable charisma to women.

He and his wife (played by Anjanette Abayari) want to have children but are unable to conceive. And for as long as Magno continues to fool around, they probably never will. He goes to Manila hoping to change but meets more midadventures there.

The movie became controversial back in 1995 after the MTRCB gave it an X rating.

The film, directed by Felix E. Dalay, also stars Dindi Gallardo, Glydel Mercado, Berting Labra, Bella Flores, and more.

Batangeñong, Kabitenyo’s I HEART Movies airing dates are as follow:
