Here’s your weekly dose of good music selection from Viva Records, home of the country’s hit makers and fabulous new music acts.

Say You Love Me” by Alamat

ALAMAT’s new sexy and groovin’ mid-tempo number titled “Say You Love Me” is both a love song and a body mover. At least that’s how ALAMAT’s Taneo, Mo, Tomas, R-Ji, Alas, and Jao makes it look, feel, and sound like.

We can imagine the boys performing it as smooth as they do. And with NEXXFRIDAY (and co-writer Jin Chan) at the helm of this R&B-tinged and trap-beat banger, “Say You Love Me” will be a sure-fire fan fave in no time.

FOOL” by Eric Ejercito

Eric Ejercito returns with and energetic new track titled “FOOL.” And as expected, Eric Ejercito. did not spare any expense in delivering a body-moving dance track worthy of any K-pop act. But of course, Eric Ejercito is proudly Pinoy pop.

Nevertheless, he brings his A-game in this electro tinged dance track about being made a fool of in the name of love.

“Kung Alam Mo Lang” by Bandang Lapis

Hit Pinoy pop-rock outfit Bandang Lapis drops another emotional number in their new single “Kung Alam Mo Lang.”

Having success with their breakout hit “Kabilang Buhay” means having the confidence to write about heartbreak of the gut-wrenching kind. And that’s exactly what they do here on this slow-rising power ballad.

“Hauntingly” by Silas

Silas is the exciting new music act from Vicor Records. A colorful performer to his core, his extrovert nature blooms even more on record via his Vicor debut, an 80’s pop-rock imbued “Hauntingly.”

Written by Silas (real name Lance Silas Castro) himself and produced and recorded by JP Verona of the Ben & Ben fame, “Hauntingly” is a fitting first track from this promising new music act.

“Next In Line’ by Guji Lorenzana

Singer-actor Guji Lorenzana returns with an inspired take on a classic late-80’s ballad, “Next In Line.”

“I wanted to pay homage to a well-respected songwriter and legend in OPM,” said Lorenzana of his choice to record “Next In Line.”

Indeed, original singer and songwriter Wency Cornejo qualifies, and he would also approve of Guji’s take on his song. This minimalist, intimate version certainly brings to the fore the song’s innate qualities of idealism and hope.

“Mahiyain” by DENȲ
“Mahiyain” is the playful sounding new bop from talented singer-songwriter DENȲ (Denise Pimping).

Here, DENȲ sings about having a “happy crush but lacking the guts to confess your feelings” and having to put all of it to “trust, faith, manifestation and divine intervention.”

Produced by NJ (Neil John Sung) and with a mix by MADEINDVN and NEXXFRIDAY, who knows if maybe “Mahiyanin” can bring DENȲ the happy crush” she’s been wanting. But what we’re sure is that this track brings her closer to having that big R&B pop hit.

“Mahiyain,” by the way, is under the WAYBETTR label.

The Seniors (Original Soundtrack from the Vivamax Series)

The new Vivamax movie The Seniors features a rap heavy, R&B-leaning soundtrack featuring the music of some of today’s most prominent names in the genre starting off with ALLMO$T’s “Social  Media (Damn)” alongside Jom’s (of ALLMO$T) “Sulyap.”

Chill and lowkey R&B star Just Hush is here, too, with “Co-Pilot”. Rounding off the selection is local rap star Because with one of his fan-fave tracks in “PNE.”

Traydor na Pag-ibig” by Marion Aunor (Original Soundtrack of “Maid in Malacañang”)

Playful and romantic, singer-songwriter-producer Marion Aunor scores a distinctly different but catchy new song titled “Traydor na Pag-ibig.”

Marion dusts up classic pop sounds and updates it for Gen Z listeners in this retro pop number about love and the inevitable heartbreak that sometimes goes with it.

And as always, she delivers it with a sexy aplomb.

“Traydor na Pag-ibig” is released through her own label, Wild Dreams Records.
